Charles H. Wood
Charles H. Wood, eldest son of T. J. Wood, Crown Point, died on Friday last at home, aged 14. The Register says: -- "His untimely decease ends many seemingly well-laid hopes. Of winning and manly qualities, he had won the respect of many, notably at Washington, where, being known of by many members of congress, he was regarded with special consideration on a number of occasions. He had improved his time in school and stood where it would be an honor to pupils much older than himself.
