John Winkler
One of the sad events of the week was the death of Mr. John Winkler, which occurred last Saturday at the residence of Mr. Ferguson, beyond Kouts Station. The cause is supposed to be congestive chills. His brother brought the body to this city, where the funeral took place, conducted by E. S. Riley. The blow was a hard one for his mother, who failed to see him during his illness because it was so short.
