Sarah Williams

OBITUARY.
WILLIAMS. -- Died on the 28th of November, at her residence in Valparaiso, Mrs. Sarah Williams, in the 83 year of her age.

Sarah Washburn was born in Hadly, Mass., Aug. 19, 1801. She was married to Ralph T. Williams, in Exeter county, N. Y., March 15th, 1819, by whom she had 9 children, 5 of whom are still living. She had for many years been a member of the Christian church, but owing to the infirmities of old age she was unable, but occasionally, to enjoy the privilege of worshipping with God's people. Her last days were made pleasant and comfortable by the faithful attention and care of her daughter and son-inl-law, Mr. and Mrs. Courier. She died happy in a well grounded hope of a better life. The funeral services took place on the 30th inst. at Salem church ten miles southwest of Valparaiso, being conducted by Elder Riley of the Baptist church, after which the remains were buried in the cemetery near by.
