Michael Welch

Coroner's Inquest.

Held upon the body of Michael Welch, who was found dead on the Southern Michigan & Northern Indiana Railroad. We, the Jury, after being duly sworn and hearing the evidence, and viewed the dead body found lying on the aforesaid Railroad, and after deliberately examining the case, come to the conclusion that he the deceased came to his death by being struck by the Engine of the Express train on the night of the 21st of September, 1853.
