William Warren

SATURDAY.
Old Wm. Warren was found dead in his house Saturday and at the coroner's inquest yesterday it was ascertained that he had been dead for three or four days. A large portion of his skull had been eaten by the rats. Only a short time ago the subject of this notice received a pension and back pay amounting to several hundred dollars for services rendered the country as a soldier in the war, but it was a curse to the old man as it gave him the means to procure the enemy which blasted his life, whiskey, and he drank himself to death.
