INVESTIGATING MYSTERIOUS DEATH AT WHEELER
Whether or not an Italian workman died at Wheeler of a broken neck, due to an accident yesterday, will be determined by Coroner L. E. Lewis, of this city, who has been asked by E. D. Hodges to make an investigation. Late yesterday, with other men, the victim was putting the handcar in the toolhouse, when he was hit on the back of the head by one of the handles. The blow seemed to be of little consequence, but after midnight the man died. Some are of the opinion that death was not due to the blow, but to injuries received in a fight during the night. The dead Italian leaves a wife in Italy.
