THE COUNTY.
CHESTERTON.
An old man, a stranger, appeared here last week collecting money to assist him, as he represented, on his way to Detroit. In some places he requested the gift of a cent. When asked if he would not accept more, he would reply, "No, if every one gives me a cent, I'll have all that is needed." He got on the railroad track Wednesday evening and was killed by a passing train. Evidently he was insane. An inquest was held, and the body placed in the care of Trustee Green for burial.
