Trevor

Died in a Cistern.
Tuesday morning about ten o'clock a little son of Mr. and Mrs. John Trevor was missed from the home. A search in the immediate neighborhood failed to find him, but revealed the fact that the cistern cover had been removed. Dr. Beer, who happened to be passing, was called in, and lowering a lamp into the cistern could see the child lying on its side in shallow water. On being taken out life was found to be extinct. As the water was not deep and the body gave no evidence of drowning, Dr. Beer opines that death was caused by the fall. The boy was two years and four months old, a bright, handsome little fellow, the idol of parents and friends. The cistern had been left open by folks living in another part of the house who were washing and had the cover off the cistern for convenience of drawing water up in a pail.
