Leora Stoner

Obituary.
Leora Stoner, wife of Russel Stoner, died at her residence in Valparaiso, Ind., on Monday evening, Oct. 12th, 1885, aged 24 years and 8 days. She had been a sufferer for many months of that fell destroyer consumption. She united with the Church of Christ on Morgan-prairie, Feb. 2d, 1878, and lived a faithful member of the same unto death. Sister Stoner was not afraid to die, but was full of hope of enjoying a never-ending future "Over there." The writer preached the funeral discourse to a large concourse of relatives and friends, when we laid her to rest in the Adams Cemetery on Morgan-prairie, a short distance from the Christian chapel. May the words of the spirit comfort the bereaved husband and friends and lead us all to the haven of eternal rest, is the prayer of the writer.
J. W. VANDIVIER.
