Cynthia Spencer

Died, Nov. 28th, 1876, at her residence in Washington township, Porter county, Ind., of consumption, Mrs. Cynthia Spencer, in the 47th year of her age, after several years of suffering. Mrs. Spencer had been a resident of Porter county most of the time for the last 40 years. She leaves a husband and three children to mourn her loss. She was a sister of the well known Perry Blake and brothers. She was removed to the family grave yard in the north-west part of the county. Funeral services were conducted by Elder Nicholson, of Valparaiso, in the elegant new Swedish church, and largely attended by her relatives neighbors and friends, by whom she was much loved and respected.
