He leaves a wife and nine children and other kindred to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband, and kind father and friend. His funeral services were attended at his late residence on the 6th inst., by Elder L. Gates, in presence of a large congregation, his living children all being present. One son preceded him to the grave some fifteen years. Mr. Soliday was born in Preble county, Ohio, August 23rd, 1811, and came to Laporte county, Ind., in 1827. He was married Dec. 31st, 1846, to Miss Mary Ann Lucas, by whom he had ten children, -- seven sons and three daughters.
