Joseph R. Smith

Joseph R. Smith, one of Valparaiso's best known citizens died very suddenly Tuesday morning. He was eating his breakfast when he fell back dead. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the civil war and was 64 years old. The funeral services were held from the Christian church Thursday afternoon, Rev. J. L Brandt officiating.
