Rev. Shortridge
KOUTS, Ind. -- The body of Rev. Shortridge passed through here on the C. & E. R. R. on the way to Boone Grove for interment. A special car was run on the coal branch of the Chicago and Eastern Illinois for the accomodation of the friends of the dead man. His body was interred in the Boone Grove cemetery on Wednesday the 24th. inst.
The deceased was well known in this vicinity being one of the first ministers to preach in this county. He has always been foremost in good works and will be sadly missed in the community in which he resided. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss.
