Mrs. Benjamin Shoop

Hebron Items.
Mrs. Benjamin Shoop, who moved to Kansas five or six years ago, returned last week and died Saturday evening of consumption. She was not able to ride from Hebron to her brother-in-law's home on Dr. Cass's farm without a bed in the wagon. Mr. Shoop and the family started about a week before Mrs. Shoop dued, but did not reach here until Sunday evening, after her death. They had word from him that he would be here Sunday, so after she died his two brothers went to meet him and carry the sad news to him in order that he might be here to see her before she was buried, all returning Sunday evening. She left six small children to mourn her loss. The sight was sad. Her funeral was conducted at the Salem church by the Rev. G. I. Vaught.
