FATAL MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT AT GARY YESTERDAY
Gary Post: One dead and one probably fatally injured is the toll of an accident which occurred at 12:10 o'clock this morning at the Michigan Central crossing at Forty-first avenue and Monroe street. A motorcycle and a Michigan Central engine pushing a caboose were the pygmy and giant in the collision.

The dead: Ben Schuster, 24 years old, Fifteenth avenue and Grant street.

The injured: Arthur Olson, 24, 1300 Lincoln street, proprietor of the Olson grocery and market at 31 West Fifth avenue.

The train was westbound and moving at good speed. Engineer Richard Doherty and Conductor R. W. Johnson, of Michigan City, were in charge of the train.

"Motorcycle Mike" Hershberg was a witness of the accident. Ray Flanders, of Crisman, Ind., and Louis Isay, 28 East Fifth avenue, were with the party, but on another machine and did not see the tragedy.
