Emma Carline Schrock

DIED -- On Thursday, Dec. 2nd, Emma Carline Schrock, daughter of August and Mary D. Schrock, of membraneous croup. Aged three years, eight months and six days. The funeral took place on Saturday at ten a. m. and the services were conducted by the Rev. F. H. Schlecter, of Otis, Ind. The remains were deposited at McCool's cemetery.

The precious one from us has gone,
The voice we loved is still;
A place is vacant in our home
That never can be filled.

Little, thoughtful, blue-eyed Emma,
Gone forever from our sight;
Waiting here in pain no longer,
Waiting with the angels bright.

Joyous, prattling, singing ever,
Mingling with the angels fair,
Wondering, questioning, wandering onward,
Ne'er more radiant face found there.

There, beyond the gulf that parts us,
Dwelling in a purer life;
Free to gaze on us and heaven,
Far away from care and strife.

Starry -eyed, she oft looks backward,
Clinging to the loved one's still;
Hoping soon to be united,
Trusting in the Father's will.
