Minnie Schier

Obituary.
The long and painful illness of Mrs. Krueger ended in death, Tuesday morning at Chicago, Ill's. For 2 or 3 years the deceased had been suffering from cancer, and for the past months she was mostly confined to her bed.

Her maiden name was Minnie Schier. She was born a few miles southeast of Westville, Ind., on the 24th Feb. 1870. At the age of 16 she became a christian and was confirmed in the German Lutheran church at Otis Ind. On the 3rd of Feb. 1891 she was married to the husband who survives her. The surviving relatives besides her husband, are her parents Mr. and Mrs. August Schier and brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Krueger was a devoted wifeaa woman of many rare good qualities. During her years of suffering she bore up with remarkable patience. To her bereaved husband we extend our heartfelt sympathy.

The funeral was held from the German Lutheran church - Porter, of which church she was an active and diligent member. The Rev. T. W. Schlechte from Otis, Ind. Officiated in the house and delivered the German sermon in the church. After the German oration Rev. August Schlechte from Mishawaka, Ind., delivered an English sermon taking for his Text: Rev. 14:13. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the spirit that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them."
