John Paul

REPORT OF CORONER'S INQUEST.
State of Indiana, Porter County, SS:
Be it remembered, that on the 22d day of Nov., 1882, information was given to me that the dead body of a man lay in Center Township, in said state and county, supposed to have come to this death by violence of casualty, and to ascertain as so far as possible the cause and circumstances of said death, witnesses were called and sworn, and their material evidence reduced to writing, signed by myself, and filed in the clerk's office of said county.

Whereupon, I find decendent's name was John Paul, that he was about 32 years old, dark complexion, 6 feet high, well dressed, and that he came to his death from injuries received by the cars of the local freight train of the N. Y., C. & St. L. R. R. Company striking him in the neck and causing death, this accident being the result of drunkenness, and for which we find the train men in now way responsible.

A. P. LETHERMAN,
Coroner of Porter County.
