Stephen O'Keeffe

Obituary.
Stephen O'Keeffe, whose sad death by drowning on the 18th inst. in Flint Lake is now well known, was the 7th son and 11th child of James F. and Ellen E. O'Keeffe, and was 12 years, 6 months and 12 days old at the time of his death. Stephen was an unusually bright and affectionate boy. He was ever obedient at home and cheerful at all times. The sweetness of his disposition may be known from the fact that his playmates even yet gather around and talk of him with subdued tones and sorrowful words. With all the buoyancy of youth he was nevertheless a home boy and found his brightest joys in the home circle. This makes his death all the harder to bear. In their affliction the devoted parents and brothers and sisters are happily sustained by the hope that the separation is not for long.
