Peter O'Keefe

THE COUNTY.
FURNESSVILLE.
This week we are sad to record the deaths of two of our prominent men, namely, W. Kempner and Peter O'Keeffe. The former, who had been sick about six months, departed this world at one o'clock Friday, February 4, 1881. Mr. Kempner has been a resident of Pine township about 27 years. He was three times elected trustee by the people of his township, and had the highest esteem of all. Thus Pine loses one of her most honorable and useful citizens. The death of Mr. O'Keefe was caused by being severely kicked by a horse while feeding him. He died at nine o'clock Wednesday, February 2, 1881. Mr. O'Keefe has been a resident of Pine township for 15 years and was engaged in farming. He was well respected by all his neighbors. The bereaved families have the sympathy of their many friends.
