Michael Murphy
LOCAL.
Little Michael Murphy, about 12 years old, son of Thomas Murphy who died by shooting himself many months ago, got on the platform of a standing caboose near the first street crossing east of our P., F. W. & C. depot last night, and presently a train backed up against the car he stood on, jarred him off, and caused the beam of the brake to run over him, which killed him instantly. He left a mother, brother and sister to mourn.
