Lillie Morgan

Lines on the Death of Lillie Morgan.
BY HER COMPANION, MARTHA BROWN.

Sadly do we miss thee, Lillie,
Wishing for your smiles once more,
But you have left us here in sorrow,
And gone to Heaven forever more.

Faithfully we watched beside her,
And she told us with the tendest love,
That she was willing and contented,
To take her flight to Heaven above.

When she bade her loved ones all farewell,
And they weeping o'er her bed,
She bade them not to weep for her,
She would meet her brother dead.

In the dark cold grave we laid her,
By her Brother Eddie's side,
But we'll never cease to miss her,
From the mourn till even tide.
