Eva Milner

In Memoriam.
The LaGrange Standard pays the following touching tribute to the memory of Miss Eva Milner the normal student who died here on Thursday, May 21st:

"Even in the merry month of May when all nature seems brightest, it is sometimes meet to speak of sorrow and death. One of the saddest events that has ever occurred in this vicinity took place last Friday in the burial of Miss Eva Milner, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Milner, of Benton township. At the commencement of the spring term at the Valparaiso normal nine weeks ago, Eva left home to attend school there. A short time since she was exposed to measles, and, taking them, grew so ill that last Friday a telegram summoning the parents to her bedside was received. Although everything was done that medical skill and loving care could suggest, she grew gradually worse until the evening of Thursday, May 21, when -- she fell asleep.
