Harriet Merine

SATURDAY.
Died on the 31st of May at the residence of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Merine on Morgan prairie, Mrs. Harriet Comer, wife of Josephus Comer. The deceased was born October 2d, 1827, and was married to Mr. Comer Dec. 20, 1861, and was the mother of 4 children, 3 of whom are still living, 2 sons and a daughter. She was a great sufferer for many months from the terrible disease -- consumption, but on the closing day of May she sank into that sleep that knows no waking in this world. She leaves her husband, 3 children, her parents, and a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. She died in the faith of the gospel of Christ. The funeral services were conducted by Elder Riley on last Sunday at 3 o'clock in Adams' church in the presence of a large congregation of friends and neighbors, after which her remains were buried in the Adams cemetery.
