Meadows, Obituary/Death NoticePorter County obituaries and death notices . . . .

The County.
Thomas Meadows' oldest son, aged about 20 years, was accidentally shot and killed on the 18th inst. He and some other boys had started hunting. They had gone but a little way, and getting over a fense one rail broke and it is supposed the hammer of the gun struck something and discharged the gun. The short went into his side, coming out or lodging in his shoulder. He got up and said, "Boys, let us go back to the house." He only went a few steps and fell down and died in a few moments.
