DIED.

MARKS, -- At his residence, in this city, at 3 P. M., on Monday, the 8th inst., Mr. John Marks, aged about 90.

He was born in Virginia, and came to Michigan at an early stage of the settlement there, and afterward became one of the early citizens of this place. He was somewhat excentric, but a very honest, peaceable and sensible man, who in his humble career commanded the good will and respect of all who knew him. He left his wife and daughter to mourn their bereavement. His funeral was conducted at their residence at 10 A. M. of Tuesday, by Rev. Mr. Beer.
