David Long

Obituary.
Died: On December 15th, 1887, David Long, at his home in Hageman, after and long and painful illness, aged 48 years and 17 days. The funeral took place on the 17th inst., and the remains interred in the cemetery at Blachley's corners.

Deceased was long a resident of Hageman, and was widely known. He was a bachelor, but always kept house for himself. He leaves a large number of relations in this county, and many warm friends. The following verses in memoriam are sent by his sister, Mrs. Sarah Crisman:

Only a few days ago
He was joyful and happy,
But alas, my earthly hopes have fled,
His voice is hushed in death.

I tearfully did wait and watch
His last expiring breath.
He now lies silent in his grave,
His suffering is o'er.

He joined the loving angels,
Where parting is no more.
The Savior called my brother,
To enter his home above.

We will pray to meet our brother
Where all is peace and love.
