James Lister

TALK OF THE TOWN
DIED on Tuesday night at 12 o'clock at the residence of John Dille, Mr. James Lister, of consumption, after an illness of five months. The funeral services were held in the M. E. church, Rev. Weston officiating. The services at the grave were in charge of the Masonic Lodge of Chesterton. Deceased passed away peacefully and without pain. He came to Chesterton in 1888, and was employed as telegraph operator on the Lake Shore road at this station. On the 4th of February , 1889, he was married to Miss Neva Dille, and from this union, two children were born, one of which is dead. He united with the M. E. church last January, and was a devout member. Last Sunday he partook of holy communion and was fully prepared to die. His family have the sincere sympathy of all who knew them in their sad bereavement.
