LOCAL NEWS.
An old lady named Mrs. Linn, living with Mr. John Lawson, at Old Porter, met with a painful accident Monday morning. She attempted to get out of bed, and while doing so, fell and fractured her right leg just below the hip. She is and has been badly crippled from sickness, and was unable to help herself, but being ambitious, did not call anyone to assist her, and the folks at the house did not know of her desire to arise. Drs. Green and Kellogg are waiting on her. Just as we go to press we learn this lady expired this morning.
