CHICAGO PAPER PRINTS PICTURE OF FORMER VALPO MAN
(From Thursday's Daily)

In the Chicago Herald of this morning appeared the picture of Samuel T. Lewis, whose funeral at Wilmette was attended by a number of the Valparaiso relatives today. A short story of his life was given besides.

Mr. Lewis was secretary of the Lewis Publishing company, of Chicago. He was born in Union county, Indiana, September 3, 1840, and was reared in this county. He went to Chicago soon after the great fire, and ever since has been identified with business interests there, being associated with his brother, B. T. Lewis, who survives him. Mr. Lewis was a member of the G. A. R., the Hamilton club, and the Methodist Episcopal church. He leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. R. A. Wheelock and Miss Pauline Lewis.
