Selma Lawrence

CHESTERTON CHIPS
Miss Selma, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lawrence, died at the family home two miles east of Chesterton, on Friday, Jan 14., of diptheria aged 21 years. The funeral was held on the 17th inst., and owing to the contagious character of the diseaseof which she died, was strictly private. The services were conducted by Rev. Holmgrain, at the house, and the remains laid to rest in the Chesterton cemetery. Miss Selma was a lovely girl whose sudden taking off is a bitter --?-- to the fond parents and devoted brothers and sisters. Two other members of the family, Hulda and Lizzie, are ill with the same disease, but the doctors have strong hopes of their recovery.
