Lawrence Kugel
KOUTS, Ind. -- Died on the 6th inst., Lawrence Kugel, aged 81 years. The deceased was the father of Mrs. Peter Lower. He came from Bohemia in 1854, and located five and one half miles south of Wanatah where he has resided ever since. He has had three shocks of paralysis and from the effects of the last he died. He went peacefully to sleep on Tuesday evening and it was impossible to awaken him. He slept without any nourishment until Sunday evening when he died. The remains were interred at the Catholic church at Shemmelville.
