Mrs. Kirk

From the DAILY VIDETTE of Saturday, Oct. 27th ult.
Mrs. Kirk, who taught dress-cutting here last winter, romming in the Bell-block, we believe, and who before her marriage nearly 40 years ago taught elocution in our old brick school-house, died at Rensselaer last March, but we had never learned of it as we can recollect till Wednesday night last, when it was told us by her sister Mrs. Ells, of Wheeler. Both these ladies are the daughters of Father Kersey, long a resident of Porter county, now of Iowa, and also sisters of the Dr. Kersey who in 1847 lived upon the ground and in the building where we now run the Vidette.
