Catherine M. Ketchum

NEWS OF THE WEEK.
Died, on Tuesday, Dec. 10th, at the home of her nephew, T. K. Whitlock, Mrs. Catherine M. Ketchum, of heart trouble, aged 82 years and 3 months. The funeral will take place from the M. E. church to-day, and the remains buried in the Chesterton cemetery. Mrs. Ketchum was born in Herkimer county, New York, on Sept. 13, 1807. Most of her life was spent near Port Hope, Canada. At the beginning of the late war she removed to Maple Rapids, Mich., living there until nine years ago, since which time she has made her home with Mr. Whitlock. She has one son surviving her, who lives in Maple Rapids, Mich. She was a member of the Christian church from middle life, and has always been a devout christian. She comes of a long-lived family, most of whom have lived to past four score years.
