Mary Kerr

-- Died -- On Saturday, May 24th at 4 o'clock P. M., Mrs. Mary Grady at the age of 26 years. Deceased was born in Laporte County in 1858. She was the daughter of Robert and Margaret Kerr, the parents of 7 children, 4 girls and 3 boys, and the death of Mrs. Grady makes the first break in the family circle. She married Thomas Grady in 1881, and was the mother of two children, one a little girl two years old, and an infant baby boy. The remains of the deceased were taken to Laporte Monday morning, and from there taken to Dorr Village for interment. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church of that place. Mrs. Grady's sudden taking off was entirely unexpected, and was caused by internal hemorrage that was beyond the control of human power. Her infant babe was but an hour old when the lamp of its dear mother's life went out. Mrs. Grady left a great many warm friends in this place and at her former home in Laporte. She was a noble wife, a kind mother, and while she is in heaven, parted from her children, may they reap joys in this world and in the end meet their dear mother where parting is no more.
