Mrs. Jonas Johnston

Woodville.
Died, at her home on the 6th day of December, at 1 o'clock a. m., the beloved wife of Jonas Johnston, after a long illness of consumption. She had been sick for many years. After trying to get cured by neighboring doctors and finding no relief, it was resolved last fall that she be taken to a Chicago hospital. She was taken to the Augustana hospital but returned in a worse condition. Since then she has gradually been sinking until death relieved her pain. She left a husband and three children and a host of friends. Rev. England, of New York, conducted the rites. Her funeral took place last Sunday and she was followed to her grave by a large number of friends. The deceased was born in Sweden and emigrated to America in 1840. She was united in marriage to Jonas Johnston in 1845, and died at the age of 49 years, 5 months and 13 days.
