CHESTERTON CHIPS
Frank Johnson, a well-known and popular resident of Old Porter, departed this life on June 20, after an illness of six months. He was taken down with liver troubles, and fell away from strong and robust health to a mere shadow. He went to Chicago to be operated upon, but nothing could be done for him as it was too late. He then returned home, and calmly awaited the end. Deceased was 42 years old, and leaves a wife and family. He was a member of Court Chesterton, I. O. F. of A., and carried a thousand dollar insurance policy on his life for the benefit of his family. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 o'clock p. m., the services being conducted at the residence by Rev. Holmgrain, and the remains buried at the Bergstrom cemetery. Court Chesterton attended the funeral in a body and conducted the services at the grave.
