Mason M. Imlay

Another Victim of Sager's Pond.
Mason M. Imlay, a law student of the Normal College, whose home was at New Lennox, Will county, Ill., was drowned in Sager's mill pond Tuesday morning. Two boys who were walking on the shore found the clothing of a man, soap, towel, etc., with no one in sight, and became suspicious that some one was drowned and gave the alarm. His body was recovered at 11 o'clock without trouble, as the water was perfectly clear and he was only six feet from shore in sixteen feet of water. He roomed in the Forbes building and left alone quite early in the morning to bathe, and as he could not swim must have been mistaken in the depth of the water. The coroner held an inquest and the verdict was accidental drowning.
