Serene H. Hoadley

OBITUARY.
HOADLEY -- On Monday, February 28, 1881, at the residence of her brother, L. S. Hoadley, in Haskells, Ind., Miss Serene H. Hoadley, of erysipelas.

Deceased was a resident here with her father's farm for a number of years, and was a class-mate of Judge Field and Mrs. W. H. Banta, all graduating in the V. M. & F. College under President B. W. Smith. By coincidence, both the Judge and Prof. Smith, as well as Mrs. Banta, were in the city on yesterday, the day of her burial. Her mortal remains were interred without the usual ceremony in Maplewood Cemetery. A re-union of her surviving class-mates, to be held here in early summer, is anticipated, and it is likely at that time due respect for her memory will be formulated by them.
