August Highlander
August Highlander, a former well-known resident of Chesterton, was laid to rest Wednesday. He died at his home in Chicago, Monday, after an illness of over a year, and leaves a wife and large family of small children in destitute circumstances. Deceased, with his brother, ran a grocery and dry goods store here for many years, and at one time the firm did a heavy business. Reverses set in and they went out of business in 1892. The family have the sympathy of their large circle of Chesterton friends.
