A. J. HARRISON DEAD.
Andrew J. Harrison, of Portage township, died at his home on Tuesday morning, Feb. 28, 1888, at 5 o'clock from typhoid penumonia. For some time past his death was hourly expected, but nevertheless the shock to the community on learning the sad news was not lessened by the warning.

He is one of ten children of Robert and Esther (Garrett) Harrison, both natives of the Isle of Man. On October 21, 1869 he was married to Martha Quartermass. Seven children followed the union. Mr. Harrison was a member of the M. E. church, and also of the Masonic society. He has held the offices of Township Assessor, County Commissioner, and at the time of his death was serving as Trustee of his township. He was highly respected, widely known and was prominently mentioned as a candidate for sheriff on the republican ticket. His death is a severe blow to his family and community. The funeral will be held to-day.
