Margaret Gregory

From the Herald.]
GREGORY. -- On Friday morning, May 12, '82, Mrs. Margaret Gregory, aged 75 years and 11 months.

Mrs. Gregory was born at St. Philip, Canada, in 1806. When about 18 years old she married Joseph Gregory, but she had been a widow for the past 40 years. In 1876 she came to Valparaiso with the family of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Leclaire, where she resided till death. For the greater part of the past five years she had been confined to her bed with rheumatism and the 33 days preceding her death she did not eat a morsel of food.

The funeral took place on Monday. The burial services were held in St. Paul's Church, High Mass being celebrated for the repose of the soul of the deceased. The remains were accompanied to St. Paul's Cemetery by a very respectable cortege of friends.
