Isadora Fryer

Obituary.
Died, at her home near Wanatah, in Laporte county, Isadora Fryer, in the 28th year of her age. Isadora Gardiner, her maiden name, was born at the home where she died, Nov. 16, 1856. She united with the Valparaiso Baptist church July 29th, 1877; was married to R. D. Fryer August, 1881. The deceased was a graduate of the techers' class in the Northern Indiana Normal School, and at the time of her death had taught in the district schools 8 years. She was a favorite in the circle of young people in which she moved. While living in Valparaiso she was an active worker in the church of which she was a member. At the close of her life she had great peace of mind and talked about death and made her arrangements for is as deliberately as if she was going on a journey. She leaves a husband, one child, a mother, one sister and one brother, with a large circle of friends, to mourn their loss. The funeral services took place at the Baptist church in Wanatah, being conducted by Elder E. S. Riley, of Valparaiso, after which her remains were buried in the Westville cemetery.

"Asleep in Jesus, Blessed sheep;
From which none ever wakes to weep."
