Asa E. Flint

THE COUNTY.
HEBRON.
Died at his residence near Hebron on the 25th instant, Asa E. Flint, aged 54 years. He came with his parents to Southeast-grove in 1836, has endured the hardships and privations of a new country, and by industry and economy acquired competency, leaving his widow in easy circumstances. He united with the M. E. church in 1866 and ever since has taken an active part in its business matters, always ready to help any pious enterprise by giving of his means for its support. His latch-string was always out and the M. E. minister received a hearty welcome. He seemed to think the members of the M. E. church his brethren and sisters. In his death the whole community has lost one of its best friends. His wife and a large circle of relatives and other friends mourn their loss. The funeral took place on Sunday at the Hebron M. E. church, conducted by Rev. S. L. Buckles, the text being, "I know that my Redeemer liveth." The church was full and the procession to the grave very long.
