Edith Fisher

DIED.
BY MRS. MARGARET JOHNSTON.

FISHER. -- At her home in Liberty township, May 11th, 1887, Edith, daughter of George and Annie Fisher, age 9 years, 1 month and 20 days.

A precious soul from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

She is gone, the one we loved --
A laid beneath the sod;
Oh, 'tis hard, but we must know
'Twas by the hand of God.

She has gone that faithful daughter,
To her happy home above;
Where there is no pain nor sorrow,
But all is joy and love.

We miss her much, her gentle voice,
Now hushed in death forever,
Will never make our hearts rejoice,
No more, on earth -- no never.
