Martin Feece

TALK OF THE TOWN.
A distressing accident occurred near Coburg, which resulted in the death of Martin Feece. Feece was caught by a falling tree, and his right leg was crushed below the knee and amputation was necessary. The operation was thought to be a success and the patient did nicely for a time. Monday night an artery parted, and Dr. Beer summoned in great haste. On examination he found the leg would have to be re-amputated as the only possible chance of saving his life. Feece was put under the influence of opiates, but he never regained consciousness, death ending his sufferings before the operation was completed. Feece was a single man and his home was in Pulaski county.
