John Ecklund
John Ecklund, a pioneer settler of Baillytown, died at his home near Culver's Point, Monday, Jan. 7, after an illness of one year from dropsy. The funeral was held Wednesday, Jan. 8, services being held in the Baillytown Swedish church, and the remains laid to rest in the Swedish cemetery. Deceased was popular among his people, and many of his neighbors settled here through him. He leaves a wife in comfortable circumstances. His funeral was a large one, and his demise sincerely mourned.
