Death of Walter Early.
Once more we are called upon to mourn the death of a faithful friend and genial companion.
Walter F. Early, of Sac City, Iowa, passed from earth and friends last Friday evening at 10 o'clock, after an illness of four weeks. His father had been with him for some time, but on last Tuesday, thinking him to be better, returned home hoping that Walter would be able to follow him on Christmas. When his father reached home he found a telegram awaiting him announcing that Walter was worse and requesting an immediate return. In compliance with this his father and mother started immediately, but were too late to see their son alive, not arriving till Saturday morning. On yesterday they started for home with the remains. The funeral will be held there to-day.
Walter had been a student of the normal for the past year, and in that time had made many friends. He was a talented young man and gave great promise of future success and usefulness.
He was a diligent student, and possessed those qualities of character which placed him in the highest estimation of his many friends, and insured his success in whatever he undertook. He had already gained a high reputation as an artistic penman. During his illness he bore his intence suffering with marked fortitude and patience.
The news of his death was a severe blow to his parents who were indulging in the hope of his recovery and return to them. In their affliction and sorrow they have the sincere and heart-felt sympathy of his many friends.
