The tolling of the Catholic bell, yesterday afternoon, was caused by the death of Mr. Matthew Dillon, who died in the 75th year of his life. He came here years and years ago, when Valparaiso was but a hamlet; in fact he was one of the earliest settlers. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. The funeral will occur to-morrow at 10 o'clock.
