Edward DeVere

The boy killed at Loux's crossing last week has been identified as Edward DeVere, of 1210 West Harrison street, Chicago, through a Hub store check found in his pocket. The father, D. M. DeVere, is an engineer on the Northwestern railway. He came to Valparaiso on Sunday and identified his son. He says the boy was on his way to Fort Wayne, where the family formerly resided, and that he left home without permission. It is supposed that the boy became chilled with cold, and fell from the moving train. The remains were taken to Chicago after Coroner Ketcham had completed the inquest.
